There is no assignment associated with this selection. We will be meeting in book talk groups to discuss the story during the first week of school. (I recommend you take notes to help you remember the story - sticky note bullet summaries, brain frame, etc
Read a book by Kwame Alexander. A list of his books and additional details are in the assignment linked below.
Read a book from a series. Series are a great way to develop a healthy reading habit and find a genre you enjoy.
Keep a list of additional books you may read this summer. Bring it to school on the first day of class. See recommendations on the last page of the assignment linked below.
Write me a letter about yourself and mail it to me. An example is in the assignment linked below.

a. There are great books to choose from on the list, have fun!
b. Just read, and enjoy the book; no written assignment!
c. If you would like, you can read more than one, but you do not have to, just an option.
4. On the first day of school:
- Bring your copy of Ghost to school; borrowed from a library, or your own.
- Bring your typed paragraphs printed out and ready to be handed in.
- Bring in your MS Extravaganza choice book selection; borrowed from a library, or your own.
