2023 Summer Reading & Assignments: Lower School

Getting Started

To use this guide, begin by selecting Math or Reading from the tabbed menu at the top of the box below.  Summer learning activities for students in grades 1-5 are detailed on these tabs along with Instructions for completing each activity.

Review your assignments detailed on each tab then use the resources below in the Suggested Reading boxes to help you in completing your work. 

Note: There are learning activities in both Reading and Math that each student in grades 1-5 should complete.

Reading

  1. Read a minimum of five books. 
  2. Track your reading using the Summer Reading Log.​  
    There are 2 copies of the log linked below. One is an editable Word file that you can customize, and the second is a PDF file in landscape format.     Choose the format that works best for you and your child.

Whatever you do, READ, READ, READ, and please bring your completed reading log to school on the first day.
